The toxic air and water have severely impacted the health of nearby residents, causing stunted growth and reduced weight. Additionally, we cover the recent case in the High Court, where the Public Works Department (PWD) damaged over 30 trees while trenching within 1m of them in Lodhi Colony. PWD has since planted new trees on mathura road, but it will take decades for them to reach the same height and canopy as the beautiful trees with majestic canopies which were removed a few years ago from mathura road.
